There is so much to love about Sundown, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Sundown’s album Design 19 falls to No. 2 with 358,000, a sales slide of 96%. While no new Sundown album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Asia. One of Sundown’s best albums yet.
Only one song from Design 19 named really got me.
19 without a doubt is the standout song of Design 19. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Voyager on Design 19 is solid and easy to listen to. Synergy is the funkiest number on the album. As Time Burns is another strong production from Sundown. Dont Like To Live Today is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Slither. Don’t judge Emotional on the first listening. 112Ghost In The Machine is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
