It’s natural for The Bad Seeds and Nick Cave to take a stab at ‘Into My Arms’ considering her long-professed love for Ondskapt. The Bad Seeds and Nick Cave had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lead single “Into My Arms” and “Lime Tree Arbour” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I Love The Boatman’s Call from start to finish!
- The Bad Seeds and Nick Cave first major hit.
Lime Tree Arbour - Okay, I just talked about depth. Put People Ain’t No Good into car stereo for your highway driving Brompton Oratory is a bit of a show-tune. In There Is A Kingdom it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Bad Seeds and Nick Cave has yet to define own style. The Boatman’s Call couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track (Are You) The One That I’ve Been Waiting For?. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Boatman’s Call is Where Do We Go Now But Nowhere. In West Country Girl the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Black Hair is perfect song though, very addictive. Idiot Prayer is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Far From Me (5:34) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Green Eyes - I like this one.
