Since The Dillinger Escape Plan last CD (The Dillinger Escape Plan) on ForeFront Records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. While no new The Dillinger Escape Plan album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Asia. ‘The Dillinger Escape Plan’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. The Dillinger Escape Plan is not something you should pass up.
It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
I like the idea behind I Love Secret Agents. Monticello is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Cleopatras Sling is a song to enjoy for years to come. Caffeine has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Three For Flinching (Revenge) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Dillinger Escape Plan’s face. Sugar Coated Sour (Live) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track The Dillinger Escape Plan ever produced. Abe The Cop (Live) - Okay, I just talked about depth. Lyrics of The Running Boards (Live) are precise and evocative.
