On Home album, The Hotknives have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. When you buy a The Hotknives album, you know exactly what you’re getting! It’s natural for The Hotknives to take a stab at ‘Something’s Come Over You’ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Home.
You can find feelings on this piece of art.
The song Driving Me Mad ending is my favorite… so catchy! Seven Days is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. If You Don’t Know Me is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Intimately Dangerous is absolutely incredible. The first time I listened to In My Dreams I was struck by its astounding sound. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Always Tomorrow because the melody in the chorus is so good. So Blind makes a person feel amazing. All of songs on Home and have something to say letting alone World At War. Nadine has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. In I Wake Up Screaming The Hotknives is at his best. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Home - For me, this is the best of the album.
