eight years ago, The Moody Blues briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)”. On The Best of the Moody Blues album, The Moody Blues have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is no doubt that The Moody Blues has talent. This is what good Rock should be.
I believe is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written.
Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Moody Blues’s strong vocals come to the fore. Nights In White Satin is gorgeous and different song. Ride My See-Saw is astounding. Voices In The Sky has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Question is pretty funky and mellow. Music of The Story In Your Eyes is gentle, never overbearing. Isn’t Life Strange sets the tone for the entire album. I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. I’ve found myself listening to Blue Guitar back to back and back many times. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Forever Autumn is outstanding work of The Moody Blues. The Moody Blues is hitting on all cylinders in The Voice. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Gemini Dream, which shows, blatantly, how much The Moody Blues has evolved as a singer. Blue World is possibly the best song The Moody Blues has come up. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Best of the Moody Blues. The Moody Blues allows each song to breathe and flourish.
