Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Three 6 Mafia on ‘Our Arrival’. Three 6 Mafia was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Three 6 Mafia and The End together. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Three 6 Mafia energies, virtually a rebirth. I wish that “The End” album was instrumental.
is a very catchy tune.
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Stomp. Money Flow - (with K-Rock/Killa Klan Kaze) - For me, this is the best of the album. Late Night Tip - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Gotcha Shakin’ - a classic song. I Ain’t Goin’ is the perfect blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Good Stuff is the albums biggest surprise. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. The sound of In-2-Deep is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Three 6 Mafia must have run out of lyrics on the next track Last Man Standing - (with M-Child/Gangsta Blac). Destruction Terror is a fine track on any terms. Body Parts - (with Prophet Posse) is simple, dignified and effective, Three 6 Mafia refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This song may be the most meaningful. Some of the arrangements found on The End are surprisingly edgy. Where Da Killaz Hang - (with Project Pat) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. The End - A catchy, upbeat tune. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing.
