On MTV Unplugged album, Tony Bennett have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. For older fans MTV Unplugged will put a massive smile accross your face. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Tony Bennett’s album MTV Unplugged falls to No. 2 with 577,000, a sales slide of 54%. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
is another favourite of mine.
Tony Bennett has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Blew our minds when we first heard It Had To Be You. The song I Love A Piano ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. This track is full of harmonies and gets MTV Unplugged off to a relaxing start. Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Rags To Riches is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. When Joanna Loved Me is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Good Life/I Wanna Be Around. I hope to keep hearing Tony Bennett works for a long time to come. Steppin’ Out With My Baby - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Moonglow is a fine track on any terms. They Can’t Take That Away From Me is Tony Bennett’s best work in years. A Foggy Day is a amazing, simple song by Tony Bennett at the top of his game. All Of You - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Tony Bennett. Body And Soul is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Tony Bennett is one of artists that allow his songs like It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing to stand on their own and be heard. When listening to Autumn Leaves/Indian Summer, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
