Lead single “African Cry” and “Devil’s Advocate” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Twinkle Brothers last CD (Final Call) on ForeFront Records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. fourteen years ago, Twinkle Brothers briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Devil’s Advocate”. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Final Call.
- This one is lively and fun.
This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Final Call. Seeds And Tools is just simply stunning. Confession motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Time Is Running Out still maintains something of a specific flourish. Twinkle Brothers is one of artists that allow his songs like Time Is Running Out to stand on their own and be heard. It’s Only Rasta - A strong beat. African People Going Home (3:45) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Elements is a bit of a show-tune. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Final Call is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Twinkle Brothers. Twinkle Brothers is hitting on all cylinders in Serve With Honesty. Charming song, great melody.
