Self-described as House with lots of words, Two Lone Swordsmen comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. ‘Swimming Not Skimming’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Two Lone Swordsmen on ‘Azzolini And The Branch Brothers Meet Being’. Such great and happy songs.
I just LOVE this mix!
The Ob007 Mix is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Swimming Not Skimming. You have to get essence of the Rico’s Hellectro’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Two Lone Swordsmen Vs. The One True Pod (Jakey In The Subway) has a fun tempo. Rico’s Helly Retailored By Nourizadeh And Teasdale is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Within the first few notes of Blu, Jack And Florence it’s perfectly clear that Two Lone Swordsmen is living this song. Don’t Call It Jerk is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I like to sing along with Flossie Wears Paco And Ralph, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. In The Nursery Visit Gleen Street makes a person feel astounding.
