Now signed to Ukamau’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Music of the indios from the Andes CD2″ leads Ukamau’s back-to-school campaign. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Ukamau comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. For older fans Music of the indios from the Andes CD2 will put a massive smile accross your face. Music of the indios from the Andes CD2 is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
one of the best in my collection.
In Ollantay the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. A Letanias is outstanding work of Ukamau. Peregrinando is a cool, simple song by Ukamau at the top of his game. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Once Falsas Promesas (Carnavalito) gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Negrito pasa la hora (Morenada) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Jacha Uru (Sikuri) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Voz de Inocencia (Cueca) presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Music of the indios from the Andes CD2. Kantati hamaua (Huayno-Sikuri) has a fun tempo. Vida Otocal is nothing but pure genius. Huayra Huasaycamuncautiva Dorita stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty.
