Self-described as Metal: Doom with lots of words, Unholy comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Unholy since bad diagnosis in 1997. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Unholy on ‘Into Cold Light’. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
is probably the most interesting track on Rapture.
Petrified Spirits is the album’s biggest hit, I think. For the Unknown One hits the heart. Wunderwerck is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Unholy ever produced. After God is the funkiest number on the album. Unzeitgeist - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Wretched is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Although Deluge is very melodic it is far from sad.
