Vangelis’s debut, ‘Music From Koreyoshi Kurahara”, does not fit easily into one genre. Since completing 1997’s ‘Antarctica Echoes’, Vangelis fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Music From Koreyoshi Kurahara’ carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. If I may, I suggest “Antarctica Echoes”. That one song is amazing!

In Deliverance Vangelis is at his best. Kinematic is a very catchy tune. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Life of Antarctica. What sets Memory of Antarctica apart is Vangelis’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Other Side of Antarctica is another favourite of mine. Song of White - For me, this is the best of the album. Theme From Antarctica is probably one of Vangelis’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
