As always, Voivod’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. What sets Mercury apart is Voivod’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I loved Phobos the first time I heard it. Bacteria I just LOVE this mix! Temps Mort is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. After about the third The Tower listen through, I began to believe this song is Voivod’s essence. This song stands out greatly from the others. In Neutrino you won’t find any flashy solos. Some call Forlorn from Phobos as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Catalepsy II - To me, this is the best song on the Phobos. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
