Since completing 1997’s ‘X-Outtakes 1′, X-Ecutioners fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. When you buy a X-Ecutioners album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by X-Ecutioners. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
Get Started is exquisite work of X-Ecutioners. Word Play is a very catchy tune. This song may be the most meaningful. Raida’s Theme great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I loved Pianos From Hell the first time I heard it. I find myself hearing bits of Cipher here and there throughout my waking hours. Turntablist Anthem very upbeat. X-Outtakes 3 is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. One Man Band is a good listen every once in a while. Countdown is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through X-Pressions. Solve For X is the first taste of the new album. X-Outtakes 4 - arguably the best track on X-Pressions album. Turntable Exhibition hits the heart. Still going through X-Pressions and coming to appreciate Beat Treats more and more with every listen. Mad Flava - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. X-Outtakes 5 - This one is lively and fun. Poetry In Motion is a song to enjoy for years to come. Scratch To This (0:46) a good melody. Musica Negra (Black Music) is another strong production from X-Ecutioners. Table Talk is the song that really did it for me.
