‘At The Speed Of Life’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the first studio album from Xzibit since bad diagnosis in 1996. It’s natural for Xzibit to take a stab at ‘Grand Opening (Interlude)’ considering her long-professed love for Armin Van Buuren. Xzibit “At The Speed Of Life” is an amazing album.
This song may be the most meaningful.
At The Speed Of Life (3:45) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Just Maintain is a song to enjoy for years to come. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in At The Speed Of Life. Positively Negative very upbeat. Don’t Hate Me (Interlude) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Xzibit’s strong vocals come to the fore. Simple and heartfelt closing track Paparazzi closes At The Speed Of Life on a high note. Musically The Foundation is superior to other tracks in At The Speed Of Life. Nice and different song. Bird’s Eye View pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Some of the arrangements found on At The Speed Of Life are surprisingly edgy. The first time I listened to Carry The Weight I was struck by its amazing sound. Xzibit is one of artists that allow his songs like Plastic Surgery to stand on their own and be heard. Enemies and Friends - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Last Words (Interlude) is the song that really did it for me.
