Master Of The Chinese Erhu is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lead single “The Tale Of Returning Home” and “The River Of Blood” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing The Tale Of Returning Home, I had to have a good Zhou Yu and Ensemble cd. Zhou Yu and Ensemble “Master Of The Chinese Erhu” is an amazing album.

The River Of Blood - My least favorite song on this album. The Song Of Heart - For me, this is the best of the album. In River Water it becomes nowhere more obvious that Zhou Yu and Ensemble has yet to define own style. Lament actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Zhou Yu and Ensemble’s face. Zhou Yu and Ensemble allows each song to breathe and flourish. Overall a nice softer song.
